Why You Should Join Leadership

Joining leadership as an elective is an amazing way to make a difference in your school while having fun and learning important skills. You’ll get to plan events, run fundraisers, and help build school spirit through dances, carnivals, and conferences. Leadership teaches you teamwork, communication, and problem-solving while giving you the chance to meet new people and represent your school. It’s the perfect way to grow as a leader, make lasting memories, and have a real impact on your school community!

Minion Dance

The Minion Dance was a fun, back-to-school dance with a Minion theme. The purpose was to

raise money for leadership, and students got to hang out, dance, and buy snacks and drinks. As part of leadership, we helped by decorating, selling snacks, cleaning up, and making sure everyone had a good time.

Fall Carnival

The Fall Carnival was a school event where we created games for students and families to play, and there was even a haunted house run by the drama club. The goal was to raise money for leadership trips, conferences, and other activities. We worked on running the games, handing out candy, and keeping things organized and fun.

Fall Conference

The Fall Conference was an awesome leadership event where schools from all over New Mexico came together. We did chants, roll calls, and went to workshops to learn leadership skills. Cleveland won the award for having the most school spirit, which was super exciting.

Central District (CD) Meetings

Central Districts are when schools in the area get together to show off their spirit and leadership skills. We participated in roll calls, played games, and attended workshops. It was a great way to meet other schools and work as a team. Cleveland always brings tons of spirit, and we usually win something!

Volleyball Game Activities

During volleyball games, we helped run games during the breaks and announced player names to keep things fun and exciting. It was all about supporting our school and showing spirit for our teams.

National Conference

Nationals was a huge event where schools from all over the U.S. came together to learn leadership skills. We went to workshops, listened to speakers, and met people from different places. Cleveland was one of the only middle schools there, which made it even cooler.

Back-to-School Dance

The Back-to-School Dance was a way to celebrate the new school year and welcome the 6th graders. Leadership students worked hard to decorate, sell food, and clean up after. It was fun to see everyone having a good time and dancing.

Amigos

Amigos is a really fun event where we get to create our own lesson plans and teach the 6th graders. We focus on helping them learn teamwork and social skills through games and activities we designed ourselves. It is awesome to see how much fun the 6th graders had, and it feels great to be able to lead and teach them. It is a cool way to connect with them and show what leadership is all about!
